Sidechain commitments
A drivechain sidechain can only advance when a mainchain block commits to it. Those commitments live in the coinbase, and they only get there if the backend builds the coinbase itself. When the pool builds its own instead, its blocks carry a witness commitment and nothing else — perfectly valid blocks that no sidechain can be merge-mined into.
⚠ Blocks from this pool currently carry no sidechain commitments. They are valid blocks and miners are paid normally, but no sidechain can be merge-mined into them — and on a chain where this pool wins most blocks, that stalls the sidechain entirely.
